Rail yard and Former Maloney Creek
Excavate shallow areas of the rail yard- Excavate soils within two feet of the surface on the Skykomish Library property containing concentrations of lead, arsenic, PCBs or petroleum exceeding cleanup levels.
- Excavate soils within two feet of the surface on rail yard containing concentrations of petroleum exceeding rail yard cleanup levels.
- Additional excavation may occur on rail yard if possible.
Remediate the Former Maloney Creek East Wetland- Excavate material exceeding cleanup levels within wetland boundary.
- Install storm drain to convey water from upstream ditches to Former Maloney Creek West Wetland area.
- Perform upland restoration at the entire site.
- Pay into a wetland bank as compensation for removal of existing wetland and provide funds for the Town’s Maloney Creek habitat restoration and sediment control project.
Remediate the Former Maloney Creek West Wetland- Excavate material within wetland boundary and within a 25-foot buffer extending to the north.
- Restore wetland.
